Who’s ready for March Madness?! I know I am Falcons! I love watching you compete to read books and write reviews. There will be two competitions this year, one in the PLC and one in the LC. Each will work a little differently so pay attention!
Primary Learning Center
Kinder through 2nd grade will compete by checking out books, reading them and writing reviews. During the week in which your class competes you may check out during your library class time or on Monday from 11: 00-12:00 and Friday from 12:00-12:30
Week 1: Only B classes will compete this week. You will all compete against each other and only the top class will move on to the final round.
Week 2: Only A classes will compete this week. You will all compete against each other and only the top class will move on to the final round.
Week 3: This is the Finals for the PLC. The winning class from week 1 will compete against the winning class from week 2.
Learning Commons
Just like last year we have looked at your homeroom circulation statistics to place your class on the bracket. This will be a 4 week competition starting the with lower 8 homerooms.
To earn points you must check out books and write reviews.
- Each book that is checked out for more than 3 days will earn 3 points.
- Each well written review will earn your class 2 points. The review must include what the book is about (without giving anything away), why you do or do not recommend the book, and who you think will enjoy reading the book.
