Welcome Back

There are lots of exciting things happening in the library this year including the building of the new Learning Commons. Until that happens it is business as usual. I have plans to be here to support the teachers with all their Common Core needs. We continue to relabel the Fiction section,

organizing the chapter books by genre. It is a process that is taking awhile. I have also started adding stickers to the Biographies that help identify books that are 100, 150 and 200 pages. I think this will be quite helpful to our students who are reading a biography for a book report. Lastly I am working on a few programs to help our 4th and 5th graders develop their research skills. I will write a seperate blog when I have more information.

Continue to check this blog for ways to be involved in the library. We will have contests and games to play as well as many many new books coming in soon!
