Today was an exciting day in the library during Jr. High lunch. Ms. Misty lead about 12 students in our first ever book club. Since everyone is all about Dystopian societies we appropriately choose Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. The first two chapters where discussed with the focus on the question “Did Ender make the right choice?”
Perhaps the most interesting part of the lunch period was when a student made the connection that Ender is only six years old at the beginning of the book. Her comment, “now this changes the whole story for me” was the last of the discussion and left us all something to think about.
