As summer approaches and we start dreaming of vacation I am reminded of heat! This Falcon HATES the heat. Sometimes it seems no matter what you do, in the middle of summer you just can’t cool off. The character Tess feels exactly the same way in the book “Come on, rain!” by Karen Hesse. This delightful story expresses the exact feeling I feel in the middle of summer when it seems the entire world is listless and you can see waves of heat coming from the pavement. Karen Hesse expresses these feelings and the feeling of relief when the rain comes and quenches your thirst!
